If you are from Toronto, or planning to stay within the city this Christmas, then here’s a list of the top holiday events you want to partake in:


  1. Christmas Market

Making a comeback this Christmas season is the annual Toronto Christmas Market which is held at the Distillery Historic District. As one of the best Christmas markets around the world, this event comes with hundreds of unique products which are all handcrafted by the locals. It also includes family-friendly entertainment, marvelous light canopies, carousel, and a ton of other amazing events.

The Nutcracker, which has been performed by the National Ballet of Canada since 1995, is yet another exciting event that’ll put off a wonderful display this Christmas season for everyone within Toronto. As it’s a really popular Christmas event, you’d want to secure your ticket sooner or later as possible.


  1. Aurora Winter Festival

A brand new Christmas event this 2018, the Aurora Winter Festival will seek to inspire the festive spirit with the use of magical winter experiences. It will be held at Ontario Place and will be filled with tons of amazing light displays and characters. You’ll also get to enjoy various activities and locations like live entertainment, amusement rides, market huts, food gardens, and more.


  1. Christmas by Lamplight

Set to be held at Black Creek Pioneer Village, Christmas by Lamplight allows you to explore the village and get to try their traditional holiday treats such as real chestnuts and mulled cider. You’ll also get to experience a wonderfully transformed area filled with flickering candles, lanterns, and fireplaces. The village will be open from 6:00 AM to 9:30 PM, so there’s plenty of time to tour around and enjoy!


  1. Casa Loma Christmas

This Christmas, Casa Loma will once again get decorated in sparkling Christmas lights and a festive holiday spirit. Also, it will have that 2018 Nutcracker theme. At Casa Loma, you can find 10 designer Christmas trees along with circus performers, Santa’s workshop, and beautifully decorated gardens.


  1. Cavalcade of Lights

Head over to this annual Christmas event which is held at Nathan Philips Square. You’ll get to witness the lighting of the official Christmas tree as well as enjoy tons of activities such as a fireworks show, dance party, and live musical performances which are all for FREE!
